Recreational Pilot Certificate

Recreational Pilot Certificate

-Be at least 17 years old.
-Hold at least a third-class medical certificate.
-Successfully complete a minimum of 30 hours of flight time (including 15 hours of flight training and 2 hours of dual instruction).
-Pass a practical test (checkride) with an FAA-designated pilot examiner.

Instrument Rating

Instrument Rating

-50 hours of cross country flight time as pilot in command.
-40 hours of actual or simulated instrument time, 15 hours of flight training.
